The Iraq war has left the Missouri National guard ill equipped and unprepared.

Up to 40% of the Guard’s equipment such as high water vehicles and helicopters are in Iraq. This has left 88% of the Army National Guard units and 45% of the Air National Guard units in the United States unprepared for deployment in the event of an emergency.

Americans Against the Escalation in Iraq Campaign is:

  • Calling on U.S. Senators and Representatives to halt the escalation of troops and funding in Iraq and begin the responsible timed withdrawal of troops.
  • Urging Missouri State Senators and Representatives to take a position on the Bush/McCain Escalation plan and vote in favor of resolutions to halt the escalation.

Read the Resolutions to halt the escalation of war in Iraq for the Missouri House, HCR 19 and Missouri Senate, SCR 13.
