Missouri Needs Jobs and Economic Recovery NOW!
The problem is clear. America needs a comprehensive plan to pull us out of the largest downturn since the Great Depression. As of January 1, 2009, unemployment in Missouri rose to 7.3% - and this doesn't even count those who have given up trying to find work! This underscores the immediate need for progressives to rally for an economic recovery package. In coordination with many partners statewide, national, and local, Pro-Vote has launched an aggressive campaign to win jobs and improve economic conditions.
The Missouri Campaign for Jobs and Economic Recovery has been very active in garnering support for the economic recovery package. We have had rallies in St Louis on December 18, 2008, January 6, 2009, and January 23, 2009, and in Kansas City on January 7, 2009. We have already generated hundreds of calls to the legislature demanding economic relief - and we are not stopping yet!

On January 23, 2009, CWA Local 6355 President Bradley Harmon rallies over 130 activists about the needs for Jobs and Economic Recovery Now!
